Estimator/Project Manager

The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for overall management of projects from bid preparation through final acceptance by client.

Key Responsibilities are and not limited to:

• Prepare a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, take-off information, and contract requirements.

• Supervise the total construction effort to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, consultants, architects, and other contractors and key trades.

• Monitor/control projects through administrative direction of on-site superintendent to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

• Manage financial aspects of contracts (i.e fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect company interests and simultaneously maintain good relationship with clients.

• Must be able to bid and manage work in our local area.

• Perform additional assignments per supervisory direction.

Junior Estimator

As a Junior Estimator, you will prepare, review and present discipline estimates for specific project proposal activities. In this role, you will provide estimating assistance and guidance to projects, develops conceptual estimates and performs cost analysis.

You will be responsible for assisting in the development of discipline/service estimators, developing and updating historical databases, and assisting in the development of department procedures. Provides direction to others on project/program level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete estimates for large, complex jobs.

• Review owner plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project; develop plan for the actual construction to serve as basis for the estimate.

• Reviews all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinions.

• Conduct site investigation prior to forming a plan of operations to identify any problems or conditions of an unusual nature that may be present.

• Utilize engineer techniques and procedures to conduct investigation and adhere to standard company policy and procedures.

• Perform design work as required by the project that is beyond the estimator scope of experience; handle any major technical problems encountered during bid preparation.

• Stay abreast of trends and developments, such as new equipment, methods and procedures that are developing in the industry.

• Prepare special engineering studies or reports required by certain bid items or conditions.

• Consult with owners on various problems discovered during bid preparation, design, rates, schedules, etc.

Drywall Superintendent

The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and completing specific projects on time, within budget with a keen eye for quality, safety, and production. The superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the on-site management of the project on a daily basis in close coordination with the project manager.

All aspects of the construction process will be a joint effort between the Superintendent and the project manager assigned to the project.

These responsibilities include: on-site surveys of existing conditions, material orders (with coordination from project management), scheduling, daily reports and photos via electronic template, maintaining project through execution of the work with emphasis on quality, reporting of RFIs, CO’s and any other issues that may arise in the field as well as punch list and close out of the project.

Requirements

• Supervise subcontract crew on framing, hanging drywall, finishing drywall and ceilings.

• Reports to and assist Project Manager in crew production, material procurement and scheduling.

• Typical reporting responsibilities include: Daily Reports, Expense Reports, Safety Reports, etc.

Metal Framing Foreman

 Responsibilities:

• Lead, organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment; utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget.
• Ensure sufficient deployment and productivity of work crews.
• Read blueprints, understand drawings/specifications, and interpret them for the team.
• Layout work ( walls, ceilings, soffits, and all details related to the scope of work).
• Coordinate daily work with crews.
• Manage the orders of material, equipment, and manpower required to meet project timelines.
• Ensure that the proper safety equipment, materials, and tools are onsite to perform the required work.
• Coordinate the pickup and delivery of materials and equipment according to priorities and specifications.
• Inspect orders upon arrival to ensure the correct quality and quantity.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and crew.
• Maintain accurate job reports including time clock with notes, schedules of subcontractors, and schedule of work to be completed.
• Communicate with the Project Manager about any change order. Work identified as not being on the original scope of work so that it can be logged and communicated with the customer.
• Oversee the performance of all sub-contractors, ensuring that work is completed with quality & safety standards and within schedule.
• Completing day-to-day work including metal framing, drywall, etc., including various custom applications for new construction as well as remodels when not actively coordinating the job site.
• Track and document daily production with daily log reports (Work done, clear descriptions, pictures, amount of people, incidents, delays, changes).
• Forecast the need for labor and materials.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and make decisions on the field.
• Manage and keep an inventory of tools and materials.
• Enforce all safety practices.
• Organize weekly safety meetings.
• Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the construction site.
• Knowledge of the materials, methods, and techniques relative to metal framing and drywall.
• Knowledge and ability to handle manual and automated tools.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable with heights, including scaffolding, and lifts.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Any occasional other tasks not previously identified.

Drywall Hanger Foreman

The position we are currently hiring is a leader experienced in preparing for hanging drywall board on ceilings and walls, 4-side window sides, mud and taping, with orange peel finish and hard corners, along with one coat of primer. Skills you MUST have to be considered for this position:

● Must have at least 3 years experience of drywall crew supervision
● Able to read and interpret blueprints/plans
● Do a layout and estimate of all materials needed
● Coordinate materials prior to board delivery
● Brief the crew prior to pour for safety and production
● Spotting for equipment operation
● Direct the crew during the board hang
● Work with inspectors for screw pattern confirmation
● Tape and three coats of mud all drywall
● Sand and finish all drywall
● Paint one coat of primer using paint sprayer
● Create attic access in all units
● Organize the clean up and reset of all materials every day to
● Ability to help out with other onsite trades as necessary
● Site clean-up and maintenance

Skills nice to have:

● OSHA-10 or -30 certification
● Any first aid certification
● Fall Protection Trained
● Man lift and/or Telescoping forklift experience
● Having and knowing how to operate a smartphone for timecards

Acoustical Ceiling Installer

Install acoustical ceiling grid and tile in the interiors of buildings. Apply wall angle/channel to the interior walls of buildings. Materials may be of decorative quality. Includes wires that fasten to buildings structure that provides support for the acoustical ceiling grid.

Essential Tasks

  • Read and understand project blueprints.
  • Inspects drywall partitions, mechanical mountings, and masonry surface for plumb and level, using a laser or water level.
  • Hang or mechanically fasten support wires for acoustical ceiling grid from building structure.
  • Hangs dry lines (stretched string) to wall molding to guide positioning of main runners.
  • Nails or screws molding to wall to support and seals joint between ceiling tile and wall.
  • Scribes and cuts edges of tile to fit wall where wall molding is not specified.
  • Measures and marks surface to lay out work according to blueprints and drawings.
  • Install acoustical ceiling main runners and cross runners.
  • Cuts tiles for fixture and borders, using keyhole saw, and inserts tiles into supporting framework.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of acoustical ceiling installation experience (required)
  • Ability to install all aspects of acoustical ceilings from start to finish
  • Focus on corporate, institutional, government, medical and hospitality industries
  • Must be able to work individually and as a team player
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Dependable transportation to and from the jobsite
